Dubai Police Chief among leading speakers at ISNR Abu Dhabi Conference

Delegates at the ISNR Conference to be held on March 2nd 2008 will include government officials from across the region and managers of industrial and security companies.
The ISNR Conference will take place alongside the inaugural edition of International Security National Resilience (ISNR) Abu Dhabi Exhibition from March 2-5 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC).
The UAE's Ministry of Interior is the main supporter of the ISNR Conference, which is being organized by INEGMA in cooperation with Reed Exhibitions.
"The ISNR Conference will enable participants to obtain a comprehensive information and knowledge about threats and challenges to homeland security both in the region and beyond. It will also address the most effective ways to tackle these threats", said Brigadier Matar Salem Bin Mesayed Al Neyadi, Chairman - ISNR Abu Dhabi Organizing Committee, noting that confirmed speakers at the ISNR Conference include some of the top police officials in the world.
Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan will address the inaugural session of the conference and speak on "Police work requirements in a multicultural environment", drawing on his experience as the Chief of Police of the highly cosmopolitan city of Dubai.
The audience at the Conference will be provided with insights on the security preparations for the London Olympics by Tarique Gaffur from the London Metropolitan Police whereas Colonel Peter Sehr from the German Federal Police will speak on "New Technologies - Global Challenges and Opportunities in the area of responsibility of law enforcement agencies".
In the second session, Emile Perez from the French police will speak on "Modern Techniques & Strategies for the Security of Critical Structures & Facilities". The UAE perspective on protection of government and strategic facilities will be provided by John McCarthy, Executive Manager for Operations, Critical Infrastructure Authority in the UAE.
Raphael Perl, from the Organization for Security & Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will address a session titled "Challenges facing security & legal cooperation in combating international crimes" while Bob Evans from the South Wales Police will speak on "Use of Technology in the Enhancement of Ports & Airports' Security". Ransom Avilla, from the US Department of Homeland Security will share the US experience in a session titled "Modern means to combat human trafficking".
"I am sure attendees will find the ISNR Conference highly engaging. The well-structured programme of the conference fits in well with our intent to position ISNR Abu Dhabi as the region's definitive event for the homeland security sector in the region", said Brigadier Al Neyadi.
