  • PRESS RELEASE

Ford Middle East and Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co., the Ford and Lincoln importer-dealer in Saudi Arabia are announcing two service campaigns involving certain 2007 and 2008MY Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles.

Article continues below

The first campaign involves about 900 units of 2007MY Expedition and Navigator models, where the fuel rail assembly may have been manufactured with weak areas in the cross over hose. Over time, the hose may crack, which could result in a fuel odor and/or a fuel leak.

The second campaign comprises some 2,500 units of 2007-2008MY Expedition and Navigator vehicles, where the spring retainer located in the interior side door handles may fracture. This could get the spring rotate, and may cause loss of tension on the door handle. If the spring loses tension, the side door handle could open in the event of a side impact collision. The rear liftgate handle is not affected by this campaign.

"These service actions are in effect, and our dealers will perform the necessary repairs at no extra charge to the customer," said Chris Noel, Ford Middle East's Regional Customer Services director. "These repairs should not take more than one half day."

Ford Middle East and its dealers are committed to their customer's complete satisfaction.
