CyberFest 08 kicks off at Dubai Internet City

Cascading the DSF fervour of 'One World, One Family, One Festival' into the free zone community, the DIC annual extravaganza brings a rich mix of fun, food and variety entertainment

The event was inaugurated by Ibrahim Saleh, Chief Operating Officer of DSF, Majed AlSuwaidi, Director of Sales, DIC, and Mohamed Ahmed, Partner Relations Manager, DIC and is being held at the DIC amphitheatre between noon and 3.00pm until Wednesday, 20 February.

Majed AlSuwaidi, Director of Sales of Dubai Internet city said: "Cyberfest is a great social event for our business partners located within the TECOM zone. It gave me great pleasure to announce this year's Cyberfest at Dubai Internet City and look forward to providing our business partners with the best service available in the coming year."

In its fourth consecutive edition, the event is sponsored by 'Hayya' fitness club and Puma, and co-sponsored by restaurants located within DIC including XL Restaurant, Gazebo Restaurant, Subway, Labneh & Zaatar, Maria Bonita and Masala.

The event kicked off with a live performance by "Dubai Police Orchestra" and other musical groups and artistes. Highlights of the first day included "Hayya" Fitness 'Slim Fit' Workouts and a performance from the Traditional Band.

February 18 also featured the Traditional Bands and performances by the "Xtremer" Dancers and the talented Russian Performers group "Tatiana" in addition to Hayya's 'Slim Fit' Workouts. Tuesday's (February 19) festivities and entertainment will continue with a number of solo musicians and two performances by the traditional bands, as well as the Hayya's fitness session. The fun will continue with the clown and balloon twister show which will be part of our final day of celebrations on Wednesday (February 20).

As part of the "Al-Anamil Al-Waa'ida" program developed by Al-Khansa school for girls in Dubai, DIC provided the talented and promising students an opportunity to display and sell 15 paintings in the CyberFest event; in which the school donates all proceeds to the "Dubai Autism Centre".
DIC always caters to adding value to the community through such festive and entertaining events which receive immense support from its partners.
Offering daily attractions such as music, entertainment, competitions, prizes, as well as restaurants providing a wide array of culinary delights, CyberFest is anticipated to receive many visitors over the four-day period.
