Mashreq paves the way for UAE nationals through Mawarid Training Programme

In the presence of his H.E. Ahmed Al Tayer, Chairman of Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Services (EIBFS), H.E. Abdul-Aziz Al Ghurair, CEO of Mashreq, gave the graduation certificates to 100 UAE national employees after completing Al Mawarid Mashreq Training Programme that lasted for three months.

The three-month programme held at the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Services (EIBFS) in Sharjah is designed to train and recruit high school graduates. Al Mawarid Mashreq programme mainly prepares UAE Nationals for to enter the banking industry, providing them with the skills and knowledge required to become professional within their areas of expertise. This will be followed by Mashreq own Internal Certification Programme offered by our dedicated Learning and Development unit - Mashreq Learning Systems. This includes various training modules including Anti Money Laundering, Fundamentals of banking, Ethical Selling Skills and Retail Banking Products."
"Young nationals are the future of this country as well as the banks'," said Al Ghurair. "Since its inception, Mashreq has always promoted the practice of recruiting, training and developing Nationals based on a clear vision to help shape the leaders of tomorrow."
Abdulaziz Al Ghurair addressed Al Mawarid Mashreq students on various topics, provided strategic counsel and focused on the importance of the employment of UAE nationals in the private and public sectors. Mashreq's CEO also shared his vision of the future as well as his thoughts about the UAE's dynamic banking sector.
"Mashreq remains resolute to meet and exceed the annual 4 per cent recruitment target for nationals stipulated by the Central Bank whilst making sincere efforts to ensure Nationals are qualified for the jobs", adds Abdulaziz Al Ghurair. "With almost 33 per cent of its workforce being locals, the bank is one of the largest employers of nationals in the UAE banking sector and the private sector as a whole."
HE Ahmed Hamid Al Tayer said "The 100 UAE nationals are but an addition to the Emiratization policies of the UAE. As responsible individuals and corporations, we have to join forces in employing and training locals who represent the future of this country. I would like to congratulate the graduates wishing them a successful start to a bright future at Mashreq. I urge you all to make the most use of this opportunity by demonstrating commitment and hard work".
From her side, Shatha Al Meamari -Emiratization Manager in Mashreq said: "We are very proud of our graduates today after successfully completing this long training programme. However, it is not over yet for them. They will further undergo planned on the job training and classroom inputs to make them proficient in banking knowledge and customer handling.
Al Mawarid Mashreq programme is one of several initiatives launched by the Bank as part of its focused commitment to the development of young UAE Nationals. Mashreq continues to meet and exceed the market expectations, living up to the promise of training and developing skills and making a real difference throughout the region.
