The Irish mission takes place from the 24th until the 27th of February 2008 throughout the UAE. The participating trade partners include Adams and Butler, Dublin Tourism, Good Food Ireland and The Irish National Stud. Two Irish trade partners who have local representation, The Four Seasons Hotel and the Starwood Hotels Group, are also included as part of the trade mission.

The purpose of the visit is to begin introducing both the local market to bespoke travel products in Ireland as well as to begin to educate The Irish trade participants in the requirements of this market.

The participants will visit travel agents in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah and on the 27th a workshop will take place at the Dubai Community Theater and Arts Centre allowing Dubai agents to discuss Irish products with the mission. Following the workshop Tourism Ireland will host a Reception at the Kempinski Hotel for key travel trade, media and consumers.

Aiveen Ryan, Account Manager for Tourism Ireland commented,

"We are confident that the 4 day trade mission will be the first of many opportunities for the local travel trade to learn more about Ireland as an ideal holiday destination rich in culture and history."
