Since its inception in 2005, as part of a celebration commemorating the 25th anniversary of Sunshine Tours, BITE has gone from a 1,100 sqm exhibition to an Expo to be reckoned with on an international level.

Mr Al Baradie concluded.
Over 100 exhibitors occupying an approximate area of 8,000 sqm are expected to participate and showcase their products and services to an estimated 20,000 visitors over the course of the three day event. The exhibition space is selling well and encompasses a wide variety of sectors ranging from Airlines to Car Rental Companies, Conventions & Exhibitions, Cruise Lines, Education, Health Resorts and Spas, Hotel Accommodation Providers, MICE Organisers, Tourist Attractions, Tourism Boards, Tourism TV Channel, Tour Operators, Travel Insurance, as well as Travel and Tourism Publications.
The Expo will be inaugurated on Wednesday, 14 May 2008 by His Highness the Crown Prince. This year's exhibition has been scheduled from Thursday 15th May to Saturday 17th May in order to include the weekend and make it more convenient for visitors to attend the event.
Platinum Sponsors for BITE 2008 are Bahrain Economic Development Board along with the Ministry of Information - Tourism Affairs. Gulf Air Bahrain has once again come onboard as the Official Carrier. Qatar Airways are the Gold Sponsor. The Expo is actively supported by Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority.
