TRAKHEES - PCFC set for CED forum on Innovations in Design and Construction

Preparations reached the final stage for the high-profile event, 'Forum on Innovations in Design and Construction', to be hosted by the Civil Engineering Department of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai, on February 26.
Engineer Nazek Al Sabbagh, Managing Director of TRAKHEES -PCFC, said: "A high profile forum of this nature, the first in Dubai, will contribute several new ideas, and address various challenges facing the construction sector. We feel that Dubai is the right place to host such an event because of the huge boom in construction and the innovative ideas linked to it. We are proud to have organized this forum."
The response to the conference from the field of civil engineering, design and construction, has been excellent. Senior professionals and decision-makers from leading groups will be participating in the event, where experts will present and discuss the innovative ideas and trends that are revolutionising the construction sector.
The forum will cover a wide range of subjects related to design, materials and construction, including special constructions like bridges and skyscrapers. Experts will also discuss the various challenges that come with the fast growth of the construction sector, such as steps to be taken to address environmental concerns.
CED realizes that the forum will be of great significance as Dubai is fast becoming a dream city of amazing buildings, bridges and islands with innovative designs and constructional ideas. Many of them have exploited unique technologies in construction.
The forum will see guest speakers presenting various such ideas and other related issues. It will begin with the plenary session, followed by twelve other sessions dealing with exclusive topics related to civil engineering, design, materials, etc. There is a lot to be gained for all professionals from the presentations by veterans in the field.
Engineer Nazek Al Sabbagh, Managing Director of TRAKHEES-PCFC, will open the forum. H.E Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Executive Chairman of TRAKHEES - PCFC, will present the inaugural address.
Guest speakers are experts from various areas, including Dr. SK Ghosh, Dr. Salem Faza, Dr. Pawan R. Gupta, Dr. Salah Sadek, Dr. V. M. Malhotra, Dr. Kopczynski, Dr. Hani Nassif, by Dr. George Hoff, Dr. Cary Kopczynski, Mr. Tarif Jaber and Dr. William Hartt.
