It has included sales of the HP Scitex XL1500, a 5-metre Industrial Inkjet printers to customers in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan and the UAE.

Various further deals are expected to close in the next few weeks as a direct result of the company's presence at the exhibition.

'The rapid development of the MICE sector has resulted in huge demand for large format printing solutions across all countries in the Middle East. There is increased investment by manufacturers and retailers in POP display and branding, including the advent of advertising on company vehicles and buses that has mushroomed in the last couple of years,'

said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Gulf FZE.

'Our participation in the event since 2001 has contributed tremendously to Jacky's Gulf FZE's growth. We have managed to meet several clients as the Sign and Graphics Show has become the focal point of the outdoor advertising and graphics industry in the Middle East with most major brands joining the show,' he added.

The introduction of HP flatbed UV printers including HP Scitex FB910, a 2.5 metre Industrial UV Flatbed Printer also proved to be a huge success as customers are looking for newer applications that are more profitable and solutions that have faster production capabilities.

'The newest HP printer uses UV inks that are better for the environment - making this technology more interesting, especially since the HP flatbed printers can also print on both rigid and flexible surfaces such as foam board, wood, acrylic, aluminium, banners and fabric,' Panjabi continued.
