SEDD organizes a seminar on Civil Service Law

Sharjah Economic Development Department organized a seminar on civil service law at the department headquarters in Sharjah.

The workshop was attended by H.E Ali Bin Salem Al Mahmoud, Sharjah Economic Development Department General Manager, Amna Abdulbaki Al hamady, Deputy Director of Finance and Administration Department, Fahad Ahmed, Deputy Director of Commercial and protection Department, and a number of SEDD's senior managers and employees.

The workshop aims to provide the employees with detailed information about the civil service law and clarify their rights responsibilities.

Mr. Mahmoud Sabbagh, Personnel Affairs Supervisor in the Administrative Department, delivered a lecture on the most important points of civil service law, with the aim to spread awareness among the employees about rules and regulations, rights and duties. The lecture focused on the SEDD's applicable laws and regulations which comply with Sharjah Government's Civil Service Law. The lecturer spoke of the principles of selection, recruitment, appointment, promotion, evaluation, leaves and incentives. The lecture was followed by a question and answer session.

Commenting on the seminar, H.E Ali Bin Salem Al Mahmoud, Sharjah Economic Development Department General Manager, said: "By organizing this interactive seminar we seek to help our employees to know their rights and duties in the workplace. Here we answered all the inquiries our employees needed to know and such initiatives will contribute in helping our staff to recognize their responsibilities, protect their rights and develop their performance".

Al Mahmoud concluded by saying: "We are keen to create a healthy work environment and provide all the necessary tools needed to develop the performance of our employees. No doubt that we are planning for further activities on this regard, with the aim to achieve excellence in performance on all levels".
