Middle East CIOs choose HP as their preferred brand

HP Middle East announced today that it has been chosen by Middle East CIOs as their number one preferred brand, according to a region-wide online survey conducted by CPI (Corporate Publishing International).

The online survey was completed over three months, between September 2007 and November 2007, where CIOs were asked to indicate their top three preferred brands from a selection of names and over 78% of the respondents listed HP among their top three choices. The survey also covered a number of categories ranging from consumer and commercial products to solutions and services.

Around hundred participants including CIOs, IT Directors, Infrastructure heads, IT managers and Senior Security/Systems specialists from different sized organizations across the Middle East took part in the survey. The participants included different industry sectors such as Banking and Finance, Oil and Gas, Public Sector, Manufacturing, Retail and Telecoms.

Following the completion of the survey, HP was figured the number one preferred brand in the following categories:

• Printers

• PCs

• Servers

• Storage solutions

• Storage management software

• Systems management software

According to the participants' evaluation. The survey was based on three criteria; features and functionality of the technology product, cost and return on investment and regional support.

According to the survey, the essential drivers for top brands to maintain their position are being customer oriented companies with a well trained support and technology team and innovative enough to meet their ongoing customers and partners needs.
