The delegation, who were hosted by BWTC's architects, engineers and project managers, ATKINS learnt how the BWTC has successfully incorporated sustainability into its twin tower design by the use of three 29-meter diameter horizontal-axis wind turbines. These will provide 11-15% if the towers' energy requirements.
In addition to visiting the BWTC the delegation also visited Durrat al Bahrain before heading to Dubai to visit the Burj Al Arab, Burj Dubai Lake Hotel, Al Mas Tower and the Dubai Metro.
