600 National and foreign companies exhibit at UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition 2008

Over 600 UAE, other GCC, MENA Region, and multinational companies from 64 counties representing the global dental health and industry are ready to meet and display their products and services at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center from 4 to 6 March 2008.

The UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition AEEDC 2008 is staged for the 12th. round under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and the President of the Dubai Health Authority. AEEDC is the only dental gathering that covers the entire Gulf region, as well as the Middle East and North Africa, is supported by Dubai Health Authority. H.E. Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid Director General of Dubai Health Authority revealed this in a statement.

'AEEDC Dubai 2008 will continue to offer value added opportunities to leading manufacturers and new ventures to explore Dubai, UAE, and MENA market. It is an excellent opportunity for companies and investors to strengthen and build connections with dental industry worldwide. It also cements the existing relationships between businesses and creates excellent relationships between dental specialists and professionals. Al Murooshid added.

Dr. Nasser A. Malik Conference Chairman of AEEDC, Director of Dubai Dental Center Dubai Health Authority - DHA stated that, ' AEEDC scientific conference runs parallel to the Exhibition where 3,600 dentists are ready to attend with a record number of over 20000 doctors and professional visitors from 113 countries. The scientific program will be in two formats the first consists of 8 pre-conference courses covering various aspects of dentistry such as Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Implantology, Orthodontics, Periodontology, and Pediatric Dentistry.The second format comprise of intensive lecture series, which include 36 accredited hours by FAGD/MAGD. The lectures are distributed in 2 Auditoriums during the 3 days of the conference, where more 50 prominent international panelists will share their latest research, and techniques in dentistry.

Dr. Nasser A. Malik said 'The fifth Annual Arab, Asian Dental Meeting - AADM 2008, will also be held in conjunction with AEEDC Dubai 2008, on March 3rd 2008, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre hall Sharjah D. The Meeting will focus on; Inviting cooperation between the Arab Dental Federation & Asia Pacific Dental Federation, Continuing Education Programs, Promoting Conferences, Dental Education Programs, and the AADM members accreditation'.

The conference program will also include educational courses exclusively designed for Iraqi dentists by AEEDC and FDI program for the Middle East in cooperation with Iraq Dental Association. The speakers at the program are Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Ismail,Dr. Khaled Ghandour and Dr.Ayad Mohammed Ahmed and the courses include implant innovations, surgical for general dentists.

Pre-conferences courses, namely the Dubai World Dental Meeting - DWDM will also be held from 1 to 3 March 2008 at the Novotel World Trade Centre. These courses are carefully set to meet the needs of the dental professionals giving them an educational edge in their careers. AEEDC Dubai has obtained accreditation from the Academy of General Dentistry - AGD and American Academy of Continuing Medical Education - AACME. Dr Nasser added.

Mr. Abdul Salam Al Madani President INDEX Holding stated, 'The Dubai Health Authority - DHA, and the Department of Naturalization and Residency in Dubai are the strategic supporters of AEEDC which is organized by Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organization Establishment member of INDEX Holding for the consecutive twelve years. Charite University of Berlin, International Dental Manufacturers - IDM, Riyadh Collage, Health Management, and Dental Horizons also supports AEEDC and Dental Horizons are the supporters of the scientific program. The Exhibition will display the latest technologies and products in the field of Dental industry and services. 15 international pavilions will be constructed for exhibiting companies from Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia, Switzerland, UAE, and USA. Germany and the United States will have the
largest country pavilion while Al Hayat Pharmaceuticals a local exhibitor will be the largest stand exhibitor.

Mr. Al Madani added,' AEEDC is the premier gathering of the dental professionals worldwide and the preferred venue to network and share experiences.

He said 'AEEDC biggest achievement was bringing the FDI- Annual World Dental Congress AWDC to Dubai for the first time after 107 years. October 2007 witnessed the fruitful Co-operation between AEEDC Dubai and the FDI - World Dental Federation.' AEEDC 2008 shall be a record breaker where 600 exhibitors shall occupy three halls of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center in addition to two halls dedicated for the scientific conference, courses, and workshops. AEEDC Dubai 2008 shall also be a record breaker by the number of participants.

Revealing the success made by AEEDC 2008, Al Madani added, 'AEEDC Dubai 2008 achieved over 60 % growth in exhibiting area. The Conference has also attracted a good number of participants in comparison with the preceding year. The continuous growth of the exhibition was an indication of AEEDC Dubai's competitive position in the global market. The development of International Pavilions was extremely encouraging and beyond all expectations.'
