HSBC appoints Executive Director of Strategic Investments, MENA

HSBC Bank Middle East Limited has appointed Walid Boustany to the role of Executive Director, Strategic Investments, Middle East & North Africa.

He will be responsible for HSBC's strategic planning across the region, and will join the HSBC Bank Middle East Limited Board of Directors and relocate to Dubai.

Prior to this, Mr. Boustany was Global Head of Wealth Advisory Services with HSBC Private Bank, where he held responsibilities in Corporate Finance Solutions, Private Equity and Family Office Advisory, Global Wealth Solutions and Tax Advisory.

Mr. Boustany joined HSBC in 1999 as Global Head of Group Strategic Planning for HSBC Holdings plc., with responsibilities for the Group's expansion and acquisitions strategy. His career spans twenty years as a management consultant, with Booz Allen & Hamilton, and as an independent advisor, and a partner in Spicer & Oppenheim Consultants. During this time he served clients exclusively in the financial services industry worldwide, including commercial and investment banks, private banks, asset management firms, insurance companies and other financial services institutions. His work centered on corporate strategy, organisation, business systems, corporate restructuring, and acquisitions.
