Mobily sponsors 3rd Businesswomen's Cultural Forum
- Saudi Arabia: Wednesday, February 27 - 2008 at 15:02
- PRESS RELEASE
The Third Businesswomen's Cultural Forum is scheduled to kick off at Riyadh's King Faisal Conference Center on Sunday.
Princess Hessa Al-Shaalan, wife of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, will patronize the event.
The forum has enjoyed widespread interest from businesswomen, since it is the only such forum in which economics and management topics of particular interest to women will be discussed.
Mobily's sponsorship of the forum is part of the company's commitment to being a contributor to economic growth, encouraging investment in small and medium-sized businesses, as well as boosting Mobily's strategy to offer products and services that fulfil the particular needs of women.
"Mobily's sponsorship of this forum comes to demonstrate our support for Saudi women to help them be successful in business and other areas," said Etidal Al-Najem, Assistant Manager of the Female Segment at Mobily's marketing department.
"Mobily had sponsored many other women's events, the latest of which was an awareness campaign on breast cancer. This is an integral part of our duty towards the Saudi society in general and women in particular."
Fayzeh Abalkhail, head of the organizing committee, said that there has been a good turnout for registration in the forum not only from businesswomen, but also students and professional women in government and the private sector.
"The women's department at the Riyadh Chamber has used every possible publication to make the registration process easier," she said.
"Interested women can register through the forum's web site or forms published in printed media, as well as SMS messages."
Abalkhail encouraged women to register in the forum, saying that it is an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas and make business deals.
