HDTV to be showcased at Dubai exhibit

High definition television (HDTV) will be showcased at Cabsat, an international electronic, media and satellite communications event for Middle East, Africa and South Asia, taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from March 4 to 6. The digital broadcast system is currently being used in Europe, North America and Australia and will now be available in the Gulf, as broadcasters prepare to switch from the traditional system, according to Mohammad Al Shahi, director of du broadcasting services. He said the company is read to broadcast in HD, reported Gulf News.
