Bahrain allows 3rd mobile operator

Bahrain has allowed a third mobile operator to enter its telecommunications market, reported 7days. Bahrain's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority said customers who switch providers will be able to take their telephone numbers with them. The TRA has also decided to issue a third mobile licence for Bahrain by the end of this year, which should see a new operator in the market by 2010.
