BP has celebrated the opening of its new Muscat office by H.E. Nasser Al Jashmi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Oil & Gas and Sir Mark Allen of BP.
"This is an important day for BP in Oman, where we recognize the achievements of the past year and look forward to playing our part in Oman's future," said Michael Townshend, President, BP Oman. "None of the considerable progress made in the last twelve months would have been possible without the tremendous support we've received from the Ministry of Oil and Gas, PDO and the business community."
The new BP office is home to a diverse group of 60 staff encompassing 15 nationalities including 15 Omani nationals as well as technical specialists who have transferred to the Sultanate from the company's worldwide network of operations.
In addition, BP has issued contracts for seismic acquisition services, seismic reprocessing, select stage engineering and drilling rigs.
