Qanat Al Qasba celebrates Italian Festival

Qanat Al Qasba, Sharjah's premier leisure, cultural and tourist destination is celebrating the 10-day Al Qasba Italian Festival, starting from 28 February.
The event aims at transporting the venue's visitors to Italy's famed and romantic capitol Venice, with dazzling theatrical performances, unique musical shows, the best of opera singers, fantasist acrobat shows, great visual arts and the best of Chamber Orchestra of Venice - the Baroque Concert, performing some of the greatest Venetian composers of the18th century.
Dina Al Nakhi, events manager of Qanat Al Qasba Development Authority said, "At Qanat Al Qasba we concentrate on not just bringing variety to our visitors, but also quality. We aim to bring the best of events, into which the Al Qasba Italian Festival fits in perfectly. The Italian Festival is not just about beauty and the splendor of Venice at its best, but a fantastic portrayal of music, arts, entertainment and fireworks that will no doubt leave our visitors spellbound.
"At Qanat Al Qasba, everyone is welcome to experience this unique event that will no doubt leave a lasting impression in their memories," she said.
The Al Qasba Italian Festival includes a Visual Art Exhibition by Venetian master Ludovico De Luigi, who is considered one of the most important painters of the great Venetian school. This event will feature throughout the 10 day festival at Maraya Al Qanat (Gallery Hall).
The theatric event includes the Manuel Mensą recital show featuring Manuel Mensą, the only man soprano in Europe, accompanied by a pianist. Together the two maestros will perform some of the most famous songs from the musicals, the Neapolitans and Italians tradition and the operettas. The shows are being held at 8:30 p.m at the Masrah Al Qasba (Theater).
The best of classical music will come alive during the Festival with the Baroque Concert. Considered the best of Chamber orchestra of Venice, the artists will perform the greatest Venetian composers of the 18th century including Vivaldi, Galuppi and other masters on March 1 and 2 at 8:30 p.m at the Masrah Al Qasba (Theater).
The Al Qasba Italian Festival will also bring forth some fantastic entertainment events. The Teatro 7 - Carnival Dream, is the ultimate theatre music show with a superb blend of theatre opera singers, dancers and acrobats who will celebrate the world of the illusion with the themes Venice, the Carnival, the Theatre and Love on March 4 and 5 at 8.30pm.
A continuous attraction for the audience, performed by different artists The Tumbler Shows will feature various artists including mimes, acrobats and jugglers. Interactive in nature these shows represent the traditional Venetian antique street theatre and circus. Starting with the inception of the Festival on February 28, the Tumbler Shows will continue until March 3.
