The service is in cooperation with Beecell, the Jordanian mobile value-added services solution provider.

Offered for the first time in Jordan, the service provides Zain's subscribers with the means to upload their content, including video clips, audio Clips, pictures, and SMS text messages containing jokes and poetry to the shared medium (www.turmos.com) free of charge.

The (www.turmos.com) portal is a new bilingual GSM service provider developed mainly for this service, where users can upload content for free and browse content uploaded by other subscribers. Visitors of the website are also able to vote on the submitted content they deem most creative and innovative. Sending and sharing onto Turmos.com is available via both mobile devices (via SMS, MMS, and WAP) and computers (Web).

Shared content such as video clips, audio Clips, pictures, and SMS text messages containing jokes and poetry is available for download by subscribing to a dedicated channel. This service can be activated by sending the number 1 by SMS to 92022.

Commenting on this CEO of Beecell Bashar Hantouli said,

"We are very happy to launch this service, for the User-Generated Content has become very popular in the past couple of years where users continue to share their content with others. This service allows Zain's subscribers to share content using their mobiles as well as the Web and is in line with our ongoing aim to provide innovative services to mobile users."

From his end, Zain's Senior Data Manager Ziad Al Masri said: "This new service signifies Zain's strategy that focuses on offering the best and latest services to its customers". Al Masri added that the service embodies the importance of mobile phones and their role which is no longer only restricted to telephone conversation, but extends it to include entertainment and information related services in addition to its role as a means of quick communication, available for all ".

To date, the company has launched various services including SMS and MMS info, RBT, Video Streaming and Downloads, Blog, Mazad, Mymail, 1234 online and online games. Accordingly, Zain customers enjoy a wealth of data services that serve to reinforce its leading position in Jordan's mobile market.
