BNP Paribas Real Estate creates dedicated team for the Middle-East, based in Bahrain & Dubai

BNP Paribas in the Gulf is pleased to announce that a team from BNP Paribas Real Estate has joined the regional G.C.C. platform as from January 2008 bringing real estate services and investment advice to clients in the region.

Real Estate is an increasingly challenging business, in which Clients are seeking advisers with skills and expertise beyond those of traditional real estate advisers.

BNP Paribas Real Estate has risen to this challenge and is now providing its customers with a wide and complete range of services covering Western European Countries, with a leading position in corporate real estate services.

BNP Paribas Real Estate is organised in four complementary business lines:

- Property Development which developed over 250000 sq. me of office buildings, 200 000 sq me of logistic buidings and 2000 residential units in France in 2007.

- Property management : with more than 21 million sq. m. of commercial property under management in Europe, and more than 30000 residential units in Europe.

- Asset Management with more than €7bn under management.

- Brokerage, Advisory, and valuations with Atisreal, placing over 7 millions sq. m. of commercial real estate, and over 86000 valuations carried out in Europe.

The establishment of BNP Paribas Real Estate into the G.C.C will reinforce the Group's presence in the region and emphasize its strong commitment to the Gulf.

Based in Bahrain, Olivier Ghattas and Rupert Jones will be responsible for nurturing existing and developing new client relationships within the region, particularly for Arabic investors looking for Investment opportunities in Europe.

Olivier Ghattas has spent 9 years in the Middle East mainly in Saudi Arabia, with as well, a short time in Lebanon. He was the Commercial Manager of a Saudi company specialized in construction and in Real Estate development.

Rupert Jones has 10 years experience in the UK property market. His main area of expertise is in the investment field acting for institutional clients on the purchase of prime assets. So far he has spent most of his career in London with two years in Atisreal's Birmingham office.
