United Arab Emirates dealers celebrate winning prestigious General Motors Chairman's Challenge award
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, March 03 - 2008 at 12:58
- PRESS RELEASE
General Motors' prestigious Chairman's Challenge Award for 2007, which recognises outstanding performance in fields such as customer service and training, has been awarded to three GM dealers from the United Arab Emirates - Al Ghandi Auto, Bin Hamoodah Automotive Company and Liberty Automobiles.
Set a target of 95%, Al Ghandi Auto, Bin Hamoodah Automotive Company and Liberty Automobiles achieved their demanding Chairman's Challenge objectives by 99%, 118% and 114% respectively - these figures being indicative of the work that they put into improving the sales and service experience for customers over the year.
They also played a major role in increasing overall GM sales in the UAE in 2007 to 18,862 units, up 20% compared to the previous twelve months.
Every year, GM dealers from across the region, who represent the Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, HUMMER and Saab brands, are challenged to excel in a number of areas including meeting specified customer satisfaction, staff training and customer service retention standards, the timely submission of key reports and hitting sales targets.
The winners will be invited to receive their awards in late March in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where they will be hosted by senior company executives.
In addition, to mark their impressive five wins, representatives of Liberty Automobiles will have the opportunity to meet with GM chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner in Paris, France, in early March.
"The Chairman's Challenge winners in the UAE have made an invaluable contribution to GM's development in the Middle East.
To win this Award represents a major accomplishment and demonstrates the commitment of the dealer to offering the best possible service," commented Terry Johnsson, president of General Motors - Middle East Operations.
"These awards recognise and highlight the dedication and effort put in by GM dealers in order to ensure that Middle East customers experience the same high standards of service from GM as they would anywhere else in the world," he added.
The UAE dealers will join eleven other winners from Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Syria.
