EasyFLYSAT-SP is a revolutionary self powered Portable Satellite Terminal, suited for extreme applications where energy is not available. The SP terminal includes all the features of EasyFLYSAT family with the addition of a Lithium Polymer Battery Pack, which allows a continuous use up to thirty hours. It also features foldable solar panels which extends its range to 24/7. It is available with 75 cm antenna only (Ku band), and with MPEG4 over IP as an option.
Speaking at the event Armando Caravella, Founder and General Manager of TEMIX said,
'We have witnessed a huge demand for portable satellite terminals in the region. It's a great opportunity for us to be present here in Dubai for CABSAT 2008 where we launch our new WiMAX solution, Easy LINK WiMAX, the next generation wireless link. For us the Middle East is a key market and the launch of our recent web site in Arabic and French shows our commitment to the region.'
The WiMAX EasyLINK adopts the superior OFDM radio technology in 3.5 GHz or in 5 GHz bands, to overcome the need of Line Of Sight (LOS) links, getting over the multi path effect, typical in urban environments. It employs advanced features, including Automatic Transmit Power Control, Forward Error Correction and Adaptive Modulation Algorithm. Further, EasyLINK with WiMAX technology can work in point-to-point configuration as well as in point-to-multipoint configuration, with IP Full Duplex two ways communication.
Armando added, 'WiMAX is currently a hot topic with the telecoms media and a great opportunity for the broadcaster, who can take advantage of this technology to fast develop new video applications in the production of ENG news thereby reducing costs. Both, EasyLINK - WiMAX and EasyFLYSAT-SP, our newly launched products are extremely user friendly, compact to carry and can be deployed in less than 10 minutes.'
