Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and the President of the Dubai Health Authority the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition AEEDC 2008 will be inaugurated on Tuesday 4 March 2008.
1600 dental doctors from 113 countries and 600 companies representing 40 countries will be present in AEEDC 2008.
H.E. Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid Director General of Dubai Health Authority said, 'Aeedc has gained international recognition and ranks the fifth among the international dental conferences and exhibitions. It brings together a large number of dental doctors specialists, professionals and international technology companies specialized in manufacturing of dental machinery, instruments, and medicaments. We expect the participation of more than 16000 doctors.
Al Murooshid added, the Dubai Health Authority is keen to provide the maximum support to all medical conferences and exhibitions. These events have positive impacts on the entire sector of health. Scientific conferences, programs and workshops organized in conjunction with health and medical exhibitions play a significant role in promoting new international technologies knowledge and skills to our doctor's.
He added 'The UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition AEEDC 2008 is the largest economic, scientific and tourist event as it attracts annually thousands of doctors, professional, exhibitors and visitors from all over the world. Its benefits are not only reflecting on the health sector but it covers the entire economic and social spectrum.

Dental Center Dubai Health Authority - DHA stated that, ' AEEDC is an important scientific event which benefits all doctors in the entire world as it is classified the 5th among the international dental exhibitions and conferences. The number of research and scientific papers ready for discussion and evaluation exceed 100 .The papers will be introduced by eminent scientists, doctors and professionals well knowledgeable of dental science, industry operations and services.
He said ' The scientific program will be in two formats the first consists of 8 pre-conference courses covering various aspects of dentistry such as Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Implantology, Orthodontics, Periodontology, and Pediatric Dentistry.The second format comprise of intensive lecture series, which include 36 accredited hours by FAGD/MAGD.
Dr. Nasser A. Malik said 'The fifth Annual Arab, Asian Dental Meeting - AADM 2008, will also be held in conjunction with AEEDC Dubai 2008, The Meeting will be attended by chairmen of dental associations in Arab world and Asia. It focuses on; inviting cooperation between the Arab Dental Federation & Asia Pacific Dental Federation, Continuing Education Programs, Promoting Conferences, Dental Education Programs, and the AADM members' accreditation.'
Mr. Abdul Salam Al Madani President INDEX Holding stated, the number of participants in AEEDC 2008 exceeded all expectations. The exhibition only in five halls covering an area of 20000 esq.m This represents 30 percent increase over the international dental convention held last October.
He added the participating companies reached to date 600 companies from 40 countries among them the United States, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Canada, France, Austria, Switzerland China, Turkey, S. Korea, and Liechtenstein.
It is a precious opportunity for dental doctors, specialists, and professional in both private and public sectors in the entire region to network and exchange expertise, conduct and establishes business partnerships .Al Madani added.
Beside the support received from the international dental associations it has gained the recognition and support of international universities and scientific foundations Charite University of Berlin, International Dental Manufacturers - IDM, Riyadh Collage, Health Management, and Dental Horizons also supports AEEDC and Dental Horizons. Al Madani said.
