Jordanian schools extend support to Al-Aman Fund for the future of orphans

These schools supported Al-Aman Fund in several different ways. Students from the Ahliyyah School for Girls (ASG) were given a presentation about Al-Aman Fund and the support it offers its beneficiaries, increasing their awareness of the nature of the Fund's work and of the large number of orphaned and abandoned youth in desperate need of society's support.

A group of the ASG students enthusiastically volunteered their time and helped collect donations for the Fund.

Ms. Haifa Najjar, Director General of the ASG, said, "The Ahliyyah School for Girls believes that its role does not stop at the school gates, but that it extends into the local community. ASG is an active participant in the society and is fully aware of the issues that must require our participation and service. ASG feels with the community's issues and lives with its hope and pain in a real attempt to actively participate in serving the sons and daughters of society in any way possible."

She added, "Our school's endeavor to serve all segments of society stems from our philosophy and our strong belief in the value of human life which is the center of our universe always emitting energy and radiance."

At the International Community School (ICS), students also intently listened to a presentation about Al-Aman Fund's work, and the ICS Student Council raised money for the Fund through activities that it organized.

A spokesperson from the International Community School Student Council said, "The Student Council made the decision to donate to Al-Aman Fund, because they felt it was not just a donation with a short-term impact, but by helping to educate someone, you are helping them to provide for themselves in the future."

Another school that extended its arms in support of Al-Aman Fund was the Amman Baccalaureate School (ABS).

The ABS made a financial donation to Al-Aman Fund, and a group of its students volunteered their time, helping out at fundraising events.

Dr. Samia Al Farra, principal of the Amman Baccalaureate School, commented, "The Amman Baccalaureate School has extended its support and financial assistance to Al-Aman Fund because this organization has done amazing work in helping the older orphans establish a life after leaving orphanage centers.

It is also part of our school's philosophy to encourage students to participate fully and become involved in services for the local community. This type of exposure for our students will ultimately develop in them the appreciation and understanding for their heritage and culture. Performing community service in such centers will allow our students to develop into enlightened, adaptable and successful individuals and equip them with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values they need in order to assume future roles of responsibility in all walks of life."

A number of other schools helped by distributing flyers and educational material about Al-Aman Fund to the parents of their students, in order to help raise awareness, increase visibility, and encourage donations.
