- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, March 05 - 2008 at 13:50
- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Sports City has announced its support for the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and Friends of Cancer Patients through its sponsorship of the Sixth Annual Charity Bazaar, organised by the International School of Creative Science (ISCS), a premier educational institute of the Bukhatir Group in Sharjah.
H.H.Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qassimi said: "It is always heartwarming to witness the increasing activity in the humanitarian field here in the UAE. And when the private sector contributes to this activity through its social responsibility programs, the outcome is more coverage and promotion of humanitarian work, thereby widening the scope of activities with a larger number of beneficiaries."
"The International School of Creative Science in Sharjah is doing its part by organizing a Charity Bazaar whose proceedings will go towards the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Needs and Friends of Cancer Patients. This is an admirable project which shows the school's dedication in engaging its partners to make a difference in our community. So, I'd like to express my thanks and appreciation to the school's efforts and wish them success in their educational and humanitarian mission," added Al Qassimi.
Khaled Al Zarooni, President of Dubai Sports City commented: "Dubai Sports City is a strong supporter of education and development among all areas of the community and we are keen on improving the social wellbeing of the country's youth."
"We are honored to offer not just financial help but more importantly, moral and social support. We believe that through the great efforts of ISCS and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, these children have the potential to live their dreams and reach their full potential," added Zarooni.
ISCS's Sixth Charity Bazaar will feature activities and entertainment for children of all ages in addition to a vast array of products, including handicrafts, household, toys, books and gift items for visitors to choose from.
All proceeds from the three-day event, to be held on the school premises located in the Muweileh district of Sharjah, will provide much-needed assistance to the two non-profit organizations, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services - dedicated to providing therapy and educational services to people with special needs and Friends of Cancer Patients - a charitable and volunteer foundation that provides moral, financial and practical support for those afflicted with cancer.
