- PRESS RELEASE
IT Official of Germany's Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Committee share eGovernment updates and insights.
Both had started their exchange of ideas back in 2006 when an Abu Dhabi Government delegation headed by Mr. Al Mansoori visited Government officials in Germany.
The visit comprised a series of presentations on the status of Abu Dhabi's Government Modernization Program and select initiatives such as the Abu Dhabi Government Portal and its enabling Platform, the Information Security Policy, the GeoSpatial Portal, and the Abu Dhabi e-Maturity Report.
"I am impressed by the Abu Dhabi Government's accomplishments" said Mr. Schallbruch, given the fact that the modernization program was launched by ADSIC in 2006 and in such a short time has advanced Abu Dhabi in the internationally accredited UN e-Government Readiness ranking.
Further, discussions focused on mutual exchange of strategic and technical aspects. ADSIC's chairman H.E. Rashed Al Mansoori emphasized that supporting of the Emirate leadership and actively involving all Government entities is a key success factor of the modernization program as well as continuing an open and active dialogue with leading Governments in the world to share and stay current with international e-Government practices. Both parties agreed to intensify and deepen the exchange of ideas in the future. The meeting was attended by officials and subject matter experts from Germany and Abu Dhabi.
