HP is top seller of servers in EMEA

A new report by Gartner Research has found that total server shipments into Europe, Middle East, and Africa stood at 2.7 million units in 2007, a 9.2% increase from 2006, reported Gulf News. HP maintained its top position with shipments growing 16.4% to 1.08 million units in 2007 compared to 929,263 units in 2006. Dell pushed ahead of IBM to claim second position with just over 50,000 units separating the two vendors.
