The Ultra RangePlus gateway and router are the first models available that feature a stylish new design and come with improved usability features such as the Linksys Easylink Advisor (LELA), which simplifies the set-up of your network and helps assure that all devices and connections are stable and highly secure.

With the launch of the Ultra RangePlus products Linksys also revealed the latest version of its Home Monitoring Camera (WVC54GCA), now including a microphone and improved image quality.

"We strongly believe that the sleek new router design is sympathetic to modern living whereas traditional routers have been hidden in a cupboard or behind a curtain." said Mohammad Hoda, Regional Manager, Linksys Middle East and Africa. "But it is not only the design that makes these products attractive, installing a home network with the router or connecting additional devices is simplified with our new EasyLink Advisor and improved set-up wizards."

The Ultra RangePlus router and gateway features a stylish silver-black design that includes the new enhanced Linksys RangePlus internal antenna technology created to fit in virtually any home. It represents an evolution from the traditional Linksys products' look and feel. In addition to looking good, the products are the first to include LELA which helps deliver a markedly improved consumer experience in home networking by including a new user interface, flash video-based guided installation, and simplified terminology, which makes setting up a wireless network easier than ever before.

LELA is designed to deliver a revolutionary new visual approach for setting up and controlling home networks. Installing a home network is no longer rocket science. With the integrated direct connect support feature, consumers can give a support representative remote control over the application to help resolve questions.

The software platform also enables Linksys to develop additional services over time such as parental control, online storage, or tools to enable photo sharing with friends and family. LELA is a free application that will be delivered with the new Ultra RangePlus products and is localized in 29 languages.

The new Ultra RangePlus Wireless Routers are the first products from Linksys to ship with Wi-Fi Protected Setup certification. Wi-Fi Protected Setup is designed to help simplify the task of setting up security on wireless networks. The Wi-Fi Protected Setup functionality includes a one-button synchronization feature that enables certified products to join together.
