The MRM Real Estate Business Development Award reflects Emaar's outstanding achievements in project management and execution, while adhering to delivery schedules, and working in association with governmental authorities for infrastructural development. The Award also highlights Emaar's track-record in developing lifestyle communities.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates, presented the award to Mr Ahmad Al Matrooshi, UAE Managing Director of Emaar Properties at a special ceremony held in Dubai on Tuesday.
Mr Al Matrooshi said:
"Emaar is the pioneer of master-planned communities and has played an important role in the evolution of the property sector, which is one of the significant contributors to Dubai's GDP. Our focus on developing sustainable lifestyle communities alongside infrastructure creation complements the growth vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed for the UAE."
He added: "Emaar has won several coveted awards and certifications in the past two years including the Dubai Quality Award, the ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management system and ISO 14001:2004 certification for environmental management processes. The MRM Real Estate Business Development Award further reiterates our commitment to delivery, as it is based on actual performance evaluated on the basis of a Business High Performance (BHP) model.
The BHP model evaluates businesses on five management criteria including leadership perspectives, strategic initiatives, quality imperatives, corporate culture and corporate social responsibility. The Award's objective is to motivate other businesses to trust in their capabilities and aspire to implement best practices.
Emaar's property development portfolio in Dubai includes the established neighbourhoods of Downtown Burj Dubai, Dubai Marina, Arabian Ranches and Emirates Living. The company has also expanded into education, healthcare, shopping malls, financial services and hospitality & leisure to meet its goal of being an integrated lifestyle provider.
