Sharjah Museums Department offers attractive job prospects at Career Fair held in Sharjah

Among those present was Maitha Al-Hammadi HR Executive, Sharjah Museums Department (SMD). This is the first of its kind national Career fair taking place.

"The jobs on offer with our department offer world-class training from internationally renowned curators as well as exposure to some of the best methodologies and best practices in the industry" said Maitha Al-Hammadi, HR Executive)SMD(.

We are also looking at attracting talented youngsters who would like to become tour guides and Curators. We would like to encourage locals to take up these offers and are actively looking to recruit good talent, she added.

Educational institutions to be targeted
The aim of SMD is also to bring about a shift in the mindset of people so they can appreciate and learn from history as well as take pride in the national heritage of UAE and Sharjah region.

SMD also intends to take the school outreach programs and other initiatives aimed at students to the next level and incorporate various elements of education into its programs.
