Emirates Glass posts 106% increase in net profits in 2007

Emirates Glass, one of the leading processors of architectural flat glass in the Middle East and a subsidiary of Glass LLC, which is wholly owned by Dubai Investments (DI), has announced its 2007 results indicating a stunning increase of 106% in its net profits for 2007 compared to the previous year, as well as a total of 30% increase in overall productivity.
"This increase has been achieved through our new market strategy and upon improving our product range," Mr. Yazbeck added.
Elaborating on the company's strategy, Mr. Yazbeck explained: "Currently, we see ourselves as regional leaders in the glass coating business; we currently have a local market share of over 25%, which is increasing year on year Our niche products are needed and supplied to many high end projects and we are proud to be able to contribute to the regions construction boom."
Emirates Glass is always keen on hiring the most skilled workers available in the market as their high tech machinery needs skilled workers. Commenting on this point Mr. Yazbeck said "Our skilled labour is one of the companies major assets as we continually focus on personal development, through training and education. Due to our healthy work environment we have been able to boast a very high staff retention ratio and a truly multinational workforce working in total harmony."
Furthermore the company has been very keen on expanding globally for currently over 30% of the company's production is exported to various countries other than the GCC such as India, Iran, the UK and many African countries.
