The brochures provide customers and visitors with valuable advice to prevent any exploitation and fraud and to ensure optimal transactions of goods and services.

Mr. Mohamed Hilal Al Muroushedi, Director of Compliance Division at DED said:

"In line with the Government of Dubai's commitment to enhance and upgrade the level of businesses and services available in the emirate, DED coordinates with the Ministry of Economy and other concerned local and federal government bodies to spread awareness of consumer rights and to protect the consumers in every possible way to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty".

The Department of Economic Development is also participating in a seminar on consumer protection organized by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry on March 13. Mr. Abdullah Al Shehi, head of Commercial Protection section, will present a detailed paper explaining the DED's role in consumer protection.
