Dubai Studio City receives 'Service to the Industry' Honour for outstanding contribution to growth of regional broadcasting sector

In recognition of its outstanding contribution to the growth of the regional broadcast industry, Dubai Studio City, a member of TECOM Investments, took the honours for 'Service to the Industry' at the Digital Studio Industry Leadership Awards 2008.

The 'Service to the Industry' Award is presented to corporate and government initiatives that look beyond its financial performance and support the overall growth of the broadcast and media production industry in the region.

Held in Dubai, the awards ceremony served as the highlight of the second day of CABSAT, the Middle East's largest cable and satellite industry exhibition that drew to a close on 6 March. Over 350 leading professionals from the broadcast, production, post-production, and film industry, as well as systems integrators, consultants and VIPs attended the gala evening.

Jamal Al Sharif, Director, Dubai Studio City, said:

In its bid to attract regional and international companies participating at CABSAT 2008, Dubai Studio City showcased its location services and infrastructural advantages, including its enormous networking potential for the broadcasting sector in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets.
