- PRESS RELEASE
Trane, the leading global provider of cooling and heating systems and services, presented a case study on the integrated open protocol building management system at Musée Du Quai Branly Museum in France, at the seminar held recently by the LonMark sessions, at the Novotel Hotel Dubai.
These seminar sessions are focused on optimizing buildings, energy savings, leveraging IT infrastructure, reducing maintenance costs, increasing equipment life and improving workplace comfort.
As a Gold sponsor and an industry leader Trane's Sai Srikanth, Controls Manager for UAE & Gulf presented a case study showing how the museum's Trace Summit Building Management System integrates equipment from various manufacturers, using Lontalk open protocol. The Museum has integrated Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Variable Air Volume Terminal Units (VAVs), and lighting & power controls along with heating from Combined Heating & Power (CHP) plant.
"Open systems are used today to create multi vendor and interoperable systems that are flexible, at low cost to install, and easily scalable to meet changing demands," said Mr. Sai Srikanth.
The LonMark sessions demonstrates the benefits of data collection, reporting, monitoring and control at the enterprise level. The seminars designed for audiences like building owners, architects, enterprise stake holders, consulting engineers,
integrators, product vendors and system suppliers, also gives an opportunity to network with vendors, contractors and industry experts.
