Rabih Saab, Travelport GDS's Vice President for the Middle East and Africa, commented,
"The travel market in the Middle East is currently experiencing a dramatic boom with both corporate and consumer travel figures increasing year on year. To be able to service this increasing demand it was vital for us to open a new office and we are confident that this investment in the state-of-the-art "Technology Oasis" will pay off and enable us to continue as the leading GDS player in the Middle East."
In 2007, Travelport also established a Regional Service Centre in the Middle East and increased the size of its local team with the further recruitment of two Regional Managers and a Product manager.
The new office at the Dubai Silicon Oasis is located on Al Ain Road, approximately fifteen minutes from the centre of Dubai.
