UAAC, a subsidiary of (CPC) Construction Products Holding Company, has the most advanced aluminum and glass factory in the Gulf region, equipped with the latest European production line.

The contract is for installing aluminum and glass facades in the university, residential, and public service buildings.

"We aim to complete the work within 9 months, a record time as classified by the Work Program of Saudi Aramco that is managing the construction," said Dr. Faysal Alaquil, CPC Director of Business Development and official spokesperson. "It is an honor for us to participate in the construction of this educational building," he added.

KAUST, located at Thuwal, 80 kilometers north of Jeddah, is being built as an international, graduate-level Research University dedicated to inspiring a new age of Scientific achievements in Saudi Arabia and the region.

UAAC's production capacity of processed glass - security, double, laminated and all types of bulletproof glass - is 1,200 square meters daily, in which half of this capacity meets the company's current projects needs and the other half goes towards the local market," Dr. Alaquil said.

The factory is part of CPC's Industrial complex, a "One Stop Shop" for all building materials, which is prepared to cope with the major boom underway in the Saudi construction sector.

"UAAC's aluminum and glass factory will be followed by another factory for the production of all types of aluminum paints, such as chacline, electrostatic and liquid paint of high quality and resistance," said Dr. Alaquil.

"All CPC factories are compatible with regulations for high levels of environment protection," he said.

CPC's social commitment extends to training and employing Saudi engineers and technicians in its factories, both directly and through the Human Resources Development Fund. "We are creating more job opportunities for Saudi youths so as to cope with the economic boom taking place in Saudi Arabia," Dr. Alaquil said.
