Three management units in Etisalat attain ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate

Etisalat announced today that three of its management units have attained the ISO 9001:2000 certificate, catching the other divisions and business units which are already ISO certified. These units are the Internal Audit Department, the Contracts Division, and the Costing Controlling Section.

These ISO 9001:2000 certificates were awarded by Det Norske Veritas, an international certification body accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom accreditation services), based on a full assessment of the implemented systems within these management units, ensuring the ability to maintain and continually improve these systems.

The ISO 9001:2000 standard specifies quality management system requirements and is considered one of the most adopted standards world-wide. Many national and international organizations strive to comply with this standard.

Ahmed Bin Ali, Vice President Corporate Communications, Etisalat said: "We seek to continually improve our services and deliverables which depend on quality management systems implemented by Etisalat should be assessed against international standards and best practices to ensure enhancing a Total Quality Culture across the corporation.
