DTCM holds presentation on Dubai experience for UK students

Mr. Abdullah Bin Suwaidan, Deputy Director Inward Missions working under DTCM gave a presentation on, 'Dubai Experience' to a group of 37 students and 3 staff from the Kingston University Trainee Surveyors from UK at International Convention & Exhibition Centre in the World Trade Centre, Sharjah recently.

The students are participating in various surveying consultancies in the UK but studying part time for a M.Sc program in Real Estate at the varsity.

Mr. Suwaidan apprised the students about the emergence of Dubai from a modest trading and fishing port to bustling modern cosmopolitan, housing 180 nationalities and became the business, tourism and cruise hub of the region.

While elaborating the transformation of the emirate, Mr. Suwaidan highlighted the charms and uniqueness of Dubai which has desert, crystal clear water, clean white sandy beaches, diversified cultural, social and economic activities as well as shopping festivals.

Mr. Suwaidan said such visits and field trips would help create awareness among the general masses and tourism industry in UK about the facilities and charms of Dubai and would help achieve the ambitious target of Dubai to have 10 million tourists by 2010.
