Aldar takes world class developments to the World's Property Market- MIPIM

Aldar Properties PJSC, the renowned international property development company, is attending the prestigious MIPIM exhibition taking place in Cannes, France from 11-14 March 2008.

Taking its world-class developments Al Dana precinct on Al Raha Beach and the entertainment destination, YAS Island to the event, Aldar plans to draw attention to not only its high end projects, but also promote the wide-scale progress taking place in the emirate of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

While the emirate is undergoing an immense property development boom, it is also conscientious in preparing its infrastructure and urban planning so that these developments are easily accessible, strategically placed, and compliment the existing layout of the emirate. Aldar is not only creating high-end developments, such as the Al Dana precinct on Al Raha Beach and YAS Island in Abu Dhabi, it is also an integral part of this development scheme for the capital city," commented Ronald S. The Al Dana precinct on Al Raha Beach is located in the heart of Al Raha Beach development, and it is a mixture of commercial and residential properties, including entertainment, dining, leisure and yachting.

The buildings in the precinct are being designed by internationally renowned architectural firms such as Foster + Partners, which is designing the World Trade Centre.

Al Dana, meaning "The Pearl" in Arabic, will encapsulate architectural design, modern living, while being an accessible world commercial hub.

YAS Island will be home to the world's first Ferrari-branded theme park, a Warner Bros theme park and a world class Formula One racetrack, which will be hosting the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix commencing in 2009.

Other attractions to be found on YAS Island will include a state-of-the-art Water Park, the first Links golf course in the UAE, and a 250,000 square metre retail mall.

Since its launch in 2005, Aldar Properties has announced developments worth more than $65bn.
