Burgan Bank holds internal Townhall meeting for 2008

Burgan Bank held its first Townhall Meeting for the year 2008 on 20th February at the Sheikha Salwa Sabah Ballroom at Salmiya.

Attended by over 700 Burgan Bank employees across its wide network of offices and branches, the Meeting featured interactive activities as well as a presentation by CEO Jonathan Lyon on the success of the Bank and its goals for 2008.

"Keeping our employees regularly informed about our progress is an important part of our internal communications process," explains Jonathan Lyon. "It reiterates our sense of belonging to the Burgan family, and allows us to share a common vision and work together."

Employee Achievement Awards were also presented which included the 'Long Service' Awards, recognizing staff members who have been with the institution for 15, 20, 25 and 30 years and the Star Awards for good work done and excellent performance. In addition, the members and volunteers of Be-Together - an internal committee in charge of the Bank's events and staff activities - were also recognized for their contributions as were the 'Elite' employees - those staff members who had made an outstanding contribution last year. What's more, a special commemorative, limited edition Burgan Silver Coin was distributed to all present in celebration of the Bank's thirtieth anniversary and the successful launch of the new identity.
