Ahmed Al Mulla, Tamkeen's Head of Community Relations says,
"Providing real employment to people with special needs is the ultimate litmus test a society can face for inclusion. With Tamkeen's programs focusing on work force readiness, success of these candidates depend on how inclusive and responsible the society is. Our participation in REHAB Dubai, as we move on to bigger and better premises at the Dubai Academic City, is key for both locating our students and indicating to organizations that diversity is not just a quota to be fulfilled. Diversity is about dipping into a large pool of employees so that organizations can benefit from the talent that comes with it."
Tamkeen offers courses in English, IT and Soft Skills. It has to date trained 100 candidates and successfully placed 20 of them in real meaningful jobs that provide more than just a livelihood. 40 candidates who trained at Tamkeen were promoted at their existing jobs right after the training.
