Paramount highlights importance of Information Security management at key IT forum

Attended by over 200 corporate executives from the business and knowledge community, the key event was held at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai on the 10th of March 2008. The forum brought together several key global IT security vendors, including Message Labs, RSA Data Security Group, Lancope, Ounce Labs and Imprivata. Highlighting the latest trends and innovations within the IT security industry, the event was themed around the ongoing paradigm shift in Information Security and Risk Management, and provided detailed insight into different aspects and themes of Information Management from a business perspective.

The event saw several informative sessions delivered by renowned IT security leaders such as Warren Healey, Head of Enterprise training and knowledge management of Message Labs, Naveed Moeed, Senior Consultant EMEA Region, David Curran, Vice President of International Sales for Ounce Labs and Omar Hussain, CEO and Director of Imprivata. At the forum, the industry leaders spoke in detail about various critical subjects within Information Security, ranging from perimeter or boundary protection to application security and insider threat management.

The event also focused on key niche technologies that are currently revolutionizing Information Security solutions, processes and practices, across the global business landscape.

As the sensitivity of data increases and business volumes catalyze data traffic rates across the region, the event also analyzed the challenges faced by IT professionals in managing Information Security. The forum provided radical solutions and 'new approaches' in the management of different types of information risks, such as evolving threats for internet based business, insider threats, flow based anomaly detection, risks in outsourced applications and data loss.
