UAE hospitals get global accreditation

The Dubai Health Authority has announced that three government hospitals and a specialised centre for the treatment of a genetic blood disorder have received international accreditation, reported Gulf News. Rashid Hospital, Dubai Hospital and Al Wasl Hospital and the Thalassaemia Centre received the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2007. Two private hospitals in Dubai have received accreditation so far - American Hospital in Dubai and Medcare Hospital - while other hospitals are in the process of seeking accreditation.
