Furthermore, Acer is among the first three companies in 12 Countries and the leading Video Projector vendor in South Africa, Hungary, Russia, Switzerland and Germany. In Czech Republic, Slovenia, Saudi Arabia, Rest of Africa and in the Netherlands Acer ranks second, while in Slovakia and Bulgaria the company ranks third.
"The past year has been really fruitful for us" comments Oliver Ahrens, Product Business Director Display BU at Acer EMEA. "We completed our portfolio with products designed to deliver the very best combination of technology, value and versatility. This strategy allowed us to climb to the second spot on the EMEA market during the last quarter of the past year: an outstanding result, that looks very promising for 2008."
Acer's DLP Technology-based projectors line comprises the Acer Professional Series, Acer Travel Series, Acer Value Series and the Acer Home Series, each designed to deliver the very best combination of technology, value and versatility for an excellent viewing experience.
Acer has been the first video projector vendor to offer ColorBoost, a technology that provides amazing Color enhancement for DLP projectors. Acer ColorBoost sets a new standard for Image Quality as it provides optimized color performance tailored for life-like pastel images, which are the most commonly used in all applications and images.
Acer ColorBoost is leveraging the following technologies:
Optimized Color-wheel design
New Powerful image processing algorithm
Advanced Lamp Illumination technology
To improve ease-of-use, Acer has equipped its projector range with Empowering Technology, a software suite that includes the following modules:
Acer eView Management > adjusts your projector settings to suit any lightning environment and any type of content. Acer eView Management features the innovative Blackboard Mode, a utility that allows users to instantly project onto a traditional green chalkboard, without the need to set up a separate white screen
Acer eTimer Management > provides an onscreen visual cue to help keep presentations on schedule.
Acer eOpening Management > provides a simple way to create a customized start-up screen.
In addition:
Acer Top-Loading Lamp design offers the easiest maintenance: the lamp module is top-loaded, hence, even when the projector is ceiling-mounted, the user can easily replace the lamp module without detaching the projector from the ceiling.
