Iraq war price tag hits $3tr

A new book by a Nobel Prize-winning economist has found that the Iraq war has so far cost the US three trillion dollars, reported AFP. The book said US military operations in Iraq already have exceeded the cost of the 12-year war in Vietnam and is more than double the cost of the Korean War. A spokesman for the Pentagon called the figure 'exaggerated'.
