Under the MOU agreement IBQ is to select ten Qatari high school graduate students and support their financial requirements for the training which is to be held at the Institute of Administrative Department.
Candidates would be selected in collaboration with the labor department; they will undergo a ten week training program to attain the relevant skills for acquiring jobs in the banking industry.
Training would be provided to qualify the candidates to assume different roles in the areas of Retail, Treasury, IT and Human Resources.
They would focus on principles of Retail Banking, office administration, effective communication and English. After completion of the training period, these candidates would then be recruited by the International Bank of Qatar.
IBQ's managing Director Mr. George Nasra said:
"We're very eager to play a role in training and developing young Qataris who are keen to begin a career with a well established and progressive institution like IBQ and hence contribute to the development of their country. We are constantly seeking young recruits who can offer us fresh and creative ideas and become part of a dedicated team of professionals".
The International Bank of Qatar's participation in the training scheme comes as part of its internal Qatarisation policy and supporting the country's drive towards nationalization. ultimately the main objective is to develop and train young Qatari's in order to widen the opportunities that are available to them.
