As the Bank continues to experience significant growth, Mr Taylor will provide specialist compliance advice across its different business areas, working closely with the Bank's global compliance team to manage the compliance framework and implement appropriate policies and procedures. With 15 years of experience in global compliance issues, Mr Taylor joined Standard Bank from HSBC and has experience in leading compliance teams across a wide range of financial services areas. A specialist in anti-money laundering, Mark worked for a significant period in Hong Kong, managing a range of regulatory issues and developing compliance frameworks across the Asia Pacific region. His current brief includes asset management, corporate, custody, funds, fiduciary and banking.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Mr Taylor has held a number of external positions, including Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Banks E-Banking Working Group and Chairman of the Corporate Governance Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Company Secretaries.
