Demonstrations will include products from Zandar Technologies, which Harris acquired in November 2007.

Demonstrations at the show (CABSAT, Stand No. ZC-21) include:

• The award-winning CENTRIO™ multiviewer — available as a standalone platform or as part of a system solution integrated with the Harris® Platinum™ router. Combining superior graphics, industry-proven architecture and integrated test and measurement tools, CENTRIO™ enables unique new capabilities and simplified system designs that can reduce the cost and complexity associated with traditional, large-system monitoring implementations.
• The Zandar™ Predator™ HD8 multiviewer, which offers true HD quality images and drives high-resolution displays up to 1080p, with auto-detect of SDI and HD/SDI signals. Available in a 1RU (Predator™ HD4 and HD8) and 2RU (Predator™ HD12 and HD16) model, the Predator™ HD series multiviewers provide outstanding flexibility in HDTV monitoring and production environments — including studio, master control room or live outside broadcast events where simplicity, quick reconfiguration and low frame delays are key.
• The Zandar™ FusionPro+™ series multiviewers, designed for mission-critical environments where flexible configuration of multiple input sources is required for centralised monitoring. The FusionPro+™ multiviewer is available in a 1RU (up to 8 channels) or 3RU model (up to 26 channels).

"By combining the Zandar portfolio with the Harris multiviewer range, we are able to provide flexible and scalable solutions that are leading the way in multiviewer technology," said Tim Thorsteinson, president of Harris Broadcast Communications.

"Harris multiviewers are gaining momentum in the Middle East, and customers including Kuwait Television and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Information and Culture — who are commissioning all the work for Saudi Television's move to HD — have taken delivery of the CENTRIO multiviewer in the last few months."

Harris multiviewers are among the wide range of Harris solutions that optimise the core processing and channel release workflows of today's broadcast operations.

Harris Broadcast Communications offers products, systems and services that provide interoperable workflow solutions that span the entire broadcast delivery chain. The Harris ONE approach brings together highly integrated and cost-effective products that are ideal for emerging media business models and for customers upgrading media operations to digital and high-definition services.
