- PRESS RELEASE
Symantec Corp., the global data security and availability leader, today announced that it will be discussing how best to transform the data centre in order to minimise risk and cost at the first Middle East CIO Summit, organised by IDC. Symantec is a principal sponsor of the conference.
The costs associated with implementing security and storage solutions and reducing information risk escalate as data volumes increase and IT environments become more complex. Reducing complexity in the data centre can help reduce these costs and risk.
The conference is on 16th and 17th March and will focus on providing direction and information to the Middle East CIO in order to assist them in making the right decisions.
Speakers - Session 1 on 16th March
10:15am: Data centre transformation and how it can enhance business strategy: Mark Bregman, Executive Vice President and CTO, Symantec
10:45am: Going beyond the limits: Graeme Hackland, IT Manager, Renault F1 Team
11:05am: Session 1 Summary and Recommendations: John Gantz, Chief Research Officer and Senior Vice President, IDC (Special release of IDC whitepaper on the business benefits of data centre transformation).
