Sharjah Economic Development Department successfully participated in National Career Exhibition

Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has successfully participated in the National Career Exhibition (NCE) which was held at Sharjah Expo Center recently, with the presence of H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

The department's stand at the exhibition was a magnetic draw for UAE nationals, male and female of all ages and educational backgrounds. They showed a keen interest in joining the department, filled out their employment application forms and inquired about the existing vacancies at the SEDD headquarter and branch offices.

Speaking of the occasion, H.E. Ali Bin Salem Al Mahmoud, General Manager of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, said:

"SEDD's participation in National Career Exhibition was in line with the department's strategy, which aims to develop the national human resources and provide them with the adequate training to meet the requirements of practical life. This expo is a premier platform for spotting and recruiting talented young nationals and for showcasing the existing and future job opportunities in the department".


The SEDD's stand received a large number of employment applications throughout the three day event, illustrating the extent of interest that UAE young graduates have in joining different sections at the department.

Officials from Personnel Affairs Department, Quality Department and Business Development Department said that the application forms will be studied and evaluated by special purpose committees to ensure a fair selection among candidates, and appointment of the qualified persons to fill the vacant positions.

The selection process will be based on educational qualifications, skills and practical experience. The short-listed candidates will be interviewed, to be appointment in the department upon passing the interview and written test.
